SHEILA BRIDGES X S.HARRIS Fabricut will offer Sheila Bridges’ Harlem Toile de Jouy wallcovering, providing trade access to the esteemed pattern for the first time. The wallpaper, which comes in 10 different colorways (nine hand screened and one digital), has been featured in many museums and exhibits throughout the country and Europe including The Studio Museum In Harlem, the Museum of Art and Design in New York City, The Underground Museum in LA, and The Musee De La Toile De Jouy in Jouy en Josas, France. The wallpaper is also included in the permanent wallpaper collection of The Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York City and most recently, The Smithsonian National Museum of African American Culture and History in Washington, DC. Says Bridges, “As an African American living in Harlem, I have always been intrigued and inspired by the historical narrative of the decorative arts, especially traditional French toile with its pastoral motifs from the late 1700’s. I’m entertained by the stories these patterns tell and the questions they often raise. But after searching for many years for the perfect toile for my own home, I decided that it quite simply didn’t exist. I created Harlem Toile initially as a wallcovering then expanded the collection to include fabrics, bedding, plates, glassware, umbrellas, clothing, and Moroccan babouches . My original design, which lampoons some of the stereotypes commonly associated with African Americans, ultimately celebrates our complex history and rich culture (which has often been appropriated).”

VICTORIA HAGAN X THE SHADE STORE Interior Designer Victoria Hagan has collaborated with The Shade Store to create a specially designed collection of versatile fabrics that reflect her celebrated sense of restrained luxury. Taking its cues from one of Victoria’s favorite signatures—a curated palette influenced by nature—the assortment features warm earth tones and cool blues and greys in a variety of designs inspired by memorable landscapes. From the billowing effect of a soft breeze on a lazy afternoon and the reflections of the sun on an open field, to the churning of the ocean on a beautiful summer day, the collection seems simultaneously both simple and sophisticated. “What I love about the collection is its versatility,” added Hagan. “It’s fashion for the home. You can mix and match and dress it up or down. As a designer, I derive great pleasure from seeing how people incorporate my designs into their own interiors to create homes uniquely their own. The possibilities are endless and the process is relatively fool-proof.” Ian Gibbs, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Shade Store says, “We have long admired Victoria’s ability to create luxurious interiors with an instinctively American appeal. Her talent for incorporating architectural elements into interiors is unparalleled, and windows are an important part of this practice. We are thrilled to bring her coveted design sensibility to our clients.”

FRANK PONTERIO X CLARENCE HOUSE Throughout his life, Ponterio was captivated by the way the Europeans marry the strong with the delicate. This collection of fabrics and trims reveal the narrative of Ponterio’s travels as they come to life through plush velvets, heavy alpaca wools, and chunky textured linens. The patterns are named for the source of their inspiration while the trims demonstrate his admiration for Italian fashion with cords that mirror men’s friendship bracelets, cashmere sweaters, and leather jackets and tapes that showcase the allure of equestrian lifestyle. Innovation, unique raw materials, attention to detail and specialty finishing are the characteristics that differentiate this collection. Refined and authentic, Ponterio tells a story of old-world craftsmanship, showing evidence of the artist’s hand along with flashes of his life—from his Italian roots and broader European travels to his fascination with the sporting lifestyle, classic automobiles, and the lasting impact of timeless yet forward-thinking fashion. Ponterio created his collection the way Italians put together their clothing: with tailored precision that is at once effortless and unmistakably deliberate. Available through Holly Hunt.

MICK DE GIULIO X TECH LIGHTING With a career spanning over 45 years, designer Mick De Giulio is internationally recognized for designing innovative kitchens and is widely acclaimed for creating products that have changed how people use their kitchens. In early 2021, Tech Lighting, a Visual Comfort & Co. brand, will introduce a new collection of lighting fixtures designed by De Giulio. As with his interiors, this modern, sculptural collection combines unique finishes and refined proportions, demonstrating De Giulio’s philosophy that lighting is not merely a necessity, but an art form that can transform a space. “I love that there is so much opportunity for good design in a kitchen,” says De Giulio. “The challenge is to make each element in a composition not only highly functional, but also beautiful. Because today’s kitchen is the room where most of the day-to-day living will take place, infusing a sense of comfort into the space is also very important. When the design works, the impact upon people’s homelife can be tremendous.” Available through CAI Designs and de Giulio kitchen design.
