Erika Maroney and Katie Wozniak of KED Interiors, created this refined primary suite in dove tones for clients in Barrington, Illinois. Above: The upholstered bed is by Bernhardt, and the curved sofa is by Baker, both in fabric from Kravet. A cascade of globe pendants provides bedside illumination, by Visual Comfort through CAI Designs. Opposite: Beyond the fireplace, a freestanding bath and tub filler is by Waterworks. Designer Laura Tribbett of Outline Interiors worked with her clients to create a respite from their busy professional lives. The home came with spectacular views of Lake Michigan, so they worked to incorporate natural hues for the light, and bright, interiors. Above: A glorious wet room features a jetted tub, a steam unit, and Brizo fixtures in gold. Right: A seating area in the bedroom incorporates a vintage chest of drawers, comfortable swivel chairs, and modern étagères. Below: In the primary bedroom suite, a range of blues echo the water beyond. Wallcoverings by Holly Hunt and an area rug by Patterson Flynn add texture. Velvet draperies in a dusky blue are from Fabricut. For the pillows, William Morris & Co fabric, through Sanderson, adds a traditional touch, with trim by Samuel & Sons. Leah Bolger created a guest bedroom and powder room in pale shades for an Art Deco–style home on Chicago’s North Shore. Left and top: A curved headboard in Glant fabric from Holly Hunt anchors the bed, framed by restored vintage Deco sconces. Custom cabinetry enhances function, while touches like a Paul Ferrante bench and Dedar pillows add depth. Above: Bolger reimagined the compact powder room with a focus on layered textures and Deco-inspired geometry. Silk wallcovering by Phillip Jeffries meets crisp marble detailing, resulting in a look that feels tailored, expressive, and confident. Photography by Nathan Kirkman
